The new customerpartnerships are part of DHL Global Forwarding’s continuedcommitment to provide a holistic range of patient-centric solutionsand deliver them where they are needed most – especially duringthis coronavirus pandemic.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Getinge, the worldmarket leader in advanced ventilators for intensive care unitsbased in Getinge, Sweden, has seen an increased global demand forventilators, extra corporeal life support (ECLS) equipment andadvanced monitoring for Intensive Care Units. To meet the globaldemand Getinge has temporarily increased its production ofventilators by 160% in 2020 compared to 2019 at its productionfacility in Solna, Sweden. Because of this increase, DHL GlobalForwarding is providing Getinge with global cargo shipments ofventilators, pumps and cardio vascular machines from Europe to theUnited States, fast tracking high priority customs clearance fortheir cargo which in turn allows these products to be on site inthe US with minimal delays and security safeguards in place to helpsave lives.
